This morning I went to Council Headquarters to inspect their accounts, prior to a report being made to KPMG, the Council's external auditors. It proved very fruitful indeed, confirming lots of suspicions on various issues, and uncovering another FIFTEEN GRAND has been paid to Datrys Consulting Engineers due to safety concerns over the pier. The pier is looking very sad and potentially dangerous in places due to the neglect of RPG, the current legal owner. The Council, BY LAW, should force RPG to look after the pier, but they refuse to do so... quite why this is, is yet to be discovered, but an investigation is ongoing.
